What is it?

In 2026, we are opening Hartlepool’s very own Library of Things.

It works just like a book library – but instead of books, you can borrow useful things.

These are things you don’t use every day but are really handy when you need them.

Things like a carpet cleaner, jet washer, wallpaper table, cake tins, drills, tools and lots more.

You join our library, and then you can borrow things for only £1 a week.

How can you help?

Give things you don’t need

If you have items in your house, shed or loft that you don’t use anymore, you can donate them to us.

Your old things could help someone else!
