Women's Health Hartlepool

Postpartum Matters CIC is a community-led organisation dedicated to improving the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of women and people assigned female at birth. We recognise that the journey through pregnancy, birth, and beyond can be complex, joyful, challenging, and at times overwhelming. Our mission is to ensure that no one has to navigate these experiences alone.

Our main project, The Women’s Health Hub, is a welcoming, inclusive space offering peer-led support, lived-experience groups, workshops, and wellbeing activities. Rooted in community connection, The Hub provides a safe environment where women can share, learn, and access support without judgement. We focus on the whole person, supporting mental health, strengthening resilience, and building confidence through creative activities, movement, discussion circles, and practical guidance.

Most of our team are volunteers with valuable lived experience, creating an atmosphere of genuine understanding and compassion. All sessions are free or low-cost to remove barriers and ensure accessibility for everyone who needs us.

Postpartum Matters CIC and The Women’s Health Hub exist to empower women, foster community, and improve health outcomes—one conversation, one connection, and one act of support at a time.

We are partnering up with Recovery Connections and Project Pause (a new mental health peer support charity) to gather Christmas gift donations, make hampers and distribute to those who would benefit from an act of kindness and care.  We would love any help towards this appeal at this busy and sometimes stressful time of year.
